Booking is very healthy for the November 9th Workshop at the Village Hotel – Software Alliance Wales have needed to book a bigger room.
Don’t want to sound school marmy (you wish, maybe?) but if you’ve booked a place and you can’t come, PLEASE CAN YOU LET SOFTWARE ALLIANCE KNOW.HERE or on twitter @SAW_USW. They are funding the day and providing a fab venue and refreshments – so we don’t want to turn people away who could otherwise come, and we don’t want to add to any local food mountains…
For those of you who are definitely coming or want to grab the last few places, here’s a bit more about the speakers:
@rightmoveaddict @citruscontent Andrea has built up a blog about her love of property with remarkable speed, and found herself appearing as a star at the Grand Designs Exhibition at the N.E.C. She’s now creating content for property and other clients at Citrus Content. She’s a bundle of energy, Northern, and very practical.
@helreynolds and @whatsthepont As Social Media Manager for Monmouth C.C. Helen has won lots of awards, and she’s a popular and funny speaker. Knowing serious amounts about PR and comms, she blogs at aceditigalcomms.wordpress.com.
Chris is expert on participative learning, good practice portals and organizational change. His blog whatsthepont has cult following.
@mindhiver Um, this is me, who you just need to know self-published a book on WordPress which is commissioned as screenplay. Oh, and built a responsive shop on WordPress and would never, ever, do so again…
Russell @brandnatter is one cool dude Art Director of Culture Colony Quarterly magazine and hot stuff on branding and design. He has legions of dedicated fans for his social media workshops and snazzy suits. Seriously lateral thinker. He and Joel, our headline act, often work together.
@asober or Alessio, spoke at one of our early events, where he wowed us with how kids were teaching each other online. He is a scientist and teacher by background and consultant for CfBT educational consultants. There’ll be no snake oil in his talk – just very sensible advice based on his success SEOing his educational blogs.
@DyfrigWilliams and @Tanwen_Haf both work at Good Practice Wales, looking at participative learning and knowledge exchange in the public sector. So they know all about Fear and Loathing there – or at least Fear and Loathing towards blogging…
@Joel_Hughes is well known at our dos, and a web strategist and trainer – as well as founder of @Port80 web conference and @tboWebdesign. As well as affection and respect from the web community, Joel is much appreciated by business and creative clients, whose web presence he’s developed. He’ll be ending our day with a provocative look at how WordPress.com may be more than enough for some of our website needs… our plug-in days may be numbered!
