And on the subject of AI, you’ll no doubt have heard of the writers strike in the US. Caitlin Moran is a well known journalist in the UK and wrote a dazzling column last week in the Times, behind a paywall, about this. It reminded me of why writers exist and what value we offer society – ideas that it’s easy to forget about, when you’re struggling with the day-to-day challenges of writing words of worth. Maybe, like me, you want to pin this up on your noticeboard…and for now, good luck with the wordflow in flaming June.
