Hello fellow writers, and this month’s lesson update is in The Complete Freelance Writing Course at Lesson 44. It’s a review of Save The Cat Writes A Novel, a most comprehensive and practical guide to shaping your novel, especially where you write in a distinctive genre. It’s written by Jessica Brody, prolific novelist and writing teacher, with some great courses on Udemy.

In other news this month, our Poetry Pause podcast has been ranked eighth most popular in the Uk, and forty ninth in the world. We’ve moved it to Chapter One Bookshop in Narberth Museum, and we record in the book lined book store where all the lovely covers and pages help absorb the sound.

We’ve got a new contributor, Mark Lewis, who is a curator and writer, and a slightly altered focus. We now seek inspiration on specific themes from the new and old books in the shop, and there are about six thousand books to choose from, though a small fraction of them are poetry. And we’re linking the episodes to live Book Bar events, as the Museum, an old Bonded Wharehouse used to store hooch, is still licensed.

If I wasn’t a writer and teacher, I’d spend all my time podcasting, though connection with audience is strange and unpredictable. If you do listen and enjoy Poetry Pause, then a big thank-you!
